Research surrounding the assessment and management of recovery after neural damage is a constantly evolving area that today requires the early convergence of clinical and technical perspectives. The objective of the SSNR is to provide in depth education on advanced procedures for neurorehabilitation of motor dysfunction following stroke, spinal cord injury, and cerebral palsy, covering practical applications based on innovative neuroprosthetic systems, robotic interfaces, precision and personalized rehabilitation, and other combinational approaches.
The Summer School on Neurorehabilitation was founded in 2011 with annual editions (except for 2020 and 2021, who were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic). In total, SSNR has organized 12 editions, with over 130 Plenary Speakers and more than 1000 students presenting approximately 200 contributions.
